Pursuit Race
A driven but anxious young woman grapples with her worst self-doubts from beneath her duvet, torn between ambition and authenticity. This comedy-drama short film is a loose and modernised adaptation of the Hemingway story of the same name.

In Pre-Production
Clare, an actress, has been cast as the lead in a stageplay premiering tonight. The story begins early in the morning, with Clare still under her duvet and nursing a hangover from a cast party the night before. Feeling anxious and full-of self-doubt, she dreads anything outside of this moment, warm and safe in her bed. A figure enters the room and begins to push her to get up - revealed to be her own insecurities and negative self-talk in the form of her own doppelgänger. While Clare longs for the comfort of her duvet, her alter ego tries to push her out of bed by confronting her with societal expectations, the fear of failure, and the pressures to be a role model for all women. Clare must navigate the fine line between ambition and burnout, as well as the tension between being authentic and conforming to external pressures.
